At 17:07 Kristin mentions that the cookies don't hold well. That's because, in non-vegan cookies, the yolk of the egg is used sort of like an adhesive to keep it together. I don't know the ingredients of the cookies you tried were, but some nut/soy milk could be used to at the very least to moisten the cookie to keep them from being so dry that they fall apart (or at least that's what I do). My nephew has celiac disease and my parents are vegan and they all seem to really enjoy it. So if you ever wanted to make your own vegan cookies, I hope this might help ig :)

Feeling the need to confess your "privilege" devalues your hard work. Stop apologizing for achieving. The message it sends out is unless people are privileged, they can't succeed which is not helpful. There is often some luck involved in success, but that usually is just to get in the door. To remain successful you have to actually be able to produce.

People stay at jobs they hate and it does take a physical toll on you and companies that squeeze as much as they can out of you but give little to nothing in return takes a big psychological toll on you. Omg. Thank you for sharing. A lot of this sums up how I felt working at Apple for 5 yrs. I love the company & still tell people to work there, but in a lot of ways, I felt like Apple didn't like me or care about me but I met some of the best people there & their experiences were totally different than mine. Being a Black woman in tech really made me feel like I should be so grateful but I was getting bitter from the lack of support I wasn't getting from my managers. It was depressing & I was becoming someone I didn't like. When I left, I got better. Emotionally, mentally, spiritually.
