Just to let you know, you actually have to setup your notifications on the wyze app for it to start working plus there's a lot more features that you didnt mentioned that you could set up on the app.

Hi. Thanks for the video. A question, does it display in metric measurements? Thanks.
abc 8 months ago
When I set a 2-minute time through Alexa (one of the very few times the Alexa function would actually work), it did vibrate on the band and did not notify my Echo Dot when the two minutes were up. Maybe that has changed?
abc 8 months ago
This would be a great band for the cost IF the functions worked better. On mine the heart rate is all over the place before eventually settling down, sleep time is VERY inaccurate, and the Alexa function works about 1 time out of 20, making Alexa almost unusable. Also, the screens in the phone app are hard to read. Fitbit app is much better. The band is very comfortable and the display is bright although words are tiny. Maybe a software upgrade will improve its reliability soon. I like my other Wyze products but this one isn't working well for me at present.

The only thing on this Band is good is Alexa, but it works if my phone is close else it won't work, I wish this band was capable to connect to internet on it's own, I hope the provider will update the firmware to be more capable, I like it anyways, because I have a bunch of wyze cameras and switches around the house, I can control without looking on my phone, well... No cameras will not work, but just switches per Alexa. If this device could pair with an headset bluetooth device, it will be awesome.

I dont care much for fitness trackers, but my fiance uses them for basic step count and such. She is so sick of fitbit products because they essentially crap out after a year and they cost 5× as much as this. I have a gift card for 20 dollars to Amazon so I have one on the way as of 10 minutes ago! Hopefully its a good buy. Even if it isn't, its less than 30 bucks.

Interested in the smart home control features. Is this through Alexa? And does it only control Wyze smart home devices or any that have an Alexa skill?

Other smart watch makers have faster processors and more features. But if all you need are the basics, this is the perfect smart band.

I bought the band as soon as they announced pre-sales to support their company. I finally took the time to learn how to do a little more with it and your video helped. I hadn't set a timer until just now and it vibrated when the time was up. Cool! I also hadn't used the alexa feature. I discovered that by holding down the dash for alexa to listen I could tell her to turn off and on a light that is set up through alexa and it worked like a charm. I've already had a couple updates with the band and I know they'll keep updating because they are always updating their wyze cams, which I love. And they are very open to people sending in suggestions for improvements. They are a hard working, honest company.

I do wish you could control music with it I got 3 weeks and it was and 20 percent so it does a really good job on 🔋

Dangrousdave20 11 months ago
Same. Definitely bought this for the smart home aspect of it. I own at least one of every Wyze product on the market right now except the scale, and this was an awesome addition to that system that kinda ties everything together.

That was a dumb mistake. I promise I slept for 7 hours that night. What happened was I started a workout the day before but forgot to end it, so the watch thought I was running for like 9 hours. I woke up in the middle of the night and went to the bathroom and realized that the watch was still in run mode. Then I went back to bed and slept for another 2 hours and 52 minutes!

Thanks for posting this. I forgot I pre-ordered this until it and the Wyze scale both showed up on my doorstep. I was also an early(ish) adopter of their cameras and noticed over time and firmware updates, how those got more useful. I avoided smart bands for years. I didn't want to drop good money on something that likely would mature and drop in price over time. Wyze hit the sweet spot for me. Even if it's not the most accurate, I can live with that for the really low price. I'm curious to see how the product grows as software and firmware get refined over time. I won't really get a chance to see what it can do until our current self-quarantine phase ends, but by then maybe I'll be more familiar with its capabilities and better able to give it a good test. Your review made me feel better about my impulse buy. (Though at that low price, it would be really hard to regret the purchase.) Is there a "right" way to wear it? I know with watches some folks wear the face side on the top of the wrist, others on the inside. Does that make a difference in its readings or accuracy?
Brian Sh
Brian Sh 9 months ago
@SpaceMan626 the Microsoft band is awesome product, wyze band is not accurate, and doesn't work if you don't have it in range of bluetooth, unfortunately the bluetooth on wyze band is too short 🤔😌
Vin Hennessy
Vin Hennessy 9 months ago
Joe Plett, I wear the Wyze Band on my left wrist because most heart rate reading are done on the left. I would like to have blood pressure reading in future updates.
SpaceMan626 10 months ago
@Mike O'Brien I had an original Microsoft Band. (on sale $129.00) they recommend the face (pulse detector) be on the under side of the wrist for the most accurate pulse reading. Not on the top the way you showed it being worn. Cheers. Good review other than that👍 But should of shown how to attach charger. For new users.
Mike O'Brien
Mike O'Brien 11 months ago
Yeah they really eliminated the "buyers remorse" effect with this band! I recommend wearing the watch face on the top of your wrist. I am not sure if it makes a difference with accuracy, but I have never seen a smartwatch or smart band manufacturer release an image or ad with the face on the other side. You bring up an interesting point though, and I have never thought about that. I think I'll read into that more

Much better to spend $150 on the FitBit charge 4 if you want a fitness tracker because it needs to be accurate and work perfectly
Dangrousdave20 11 months ago
@Mike O'Brien And now for $25 you could almost buy this for anyone who is even remotely interested in fitness or even just knowing how many steps they've walked.

Obi Dean
Obi Dean 11 months ago
If you're serious about fitness, sure. But for most avg Joe this is amazing. Totally fine if it's not super accurate as long as it's not far off. This cheap wearable will give people actual motivation to get up and running like Mi Band which is good ...
